Demo · Win11 Image Prep

Windows 11 install media with your drivers already in it

Watch a Surface image built end to end: pick the ISO and the editions, add the driver pack, choose the apps to remove and the unattended settings, review the plan, then build. Then click through it yourself.

The new Win11 Image Prep flow, simulated in the browser with a made-up driver pack. No sound.

What the walkthrough shows

Each step is in the live demo too, ready for you to click.

  1. Start from an ISODrop in a Windows 11 ISO; the editions inside it are read and listed.
  2. Keep only what you deployPick the editions; the rest are removed before any servicing starts.
  3. Add the driver packSurface MSI, ZIP or folder. Boot-critical drivers are picked out for setup and recovery; everything goes into Windows.
  4. Remove the appsChoose the built-in apps to strip from the image before it is ever installed.
  5. Unattended or AutopilotSkip the setup questions, or hand over cleanly to Autopilot.
  6. Review, then buildSee every step and what it changes, then build with progress and timings for each stage.

Now try it yourself

Imaging needs Windows and admin rights, so the live demo is a simulation of the app: the same steps and choices, with a made-up Contoso Health Surface pack and simulated build progress. Nothing is downloaded, built or sent.

  • Choose editions, drivers and apps
  • See which drivers go into setup and recovery
  • Run a simulated build with stage timings
